Data protection consent

The Mercedes-Benz Talent Cloud is a Mercedes-Benz Group AG career network which serves to recruit new employees and gives potential applicants the opportunity to keeping in touch with the company.

By using the application, you have the chance to create an applicant profile with your personal data. This can be done by entering as well as uploading data. The objective of processing this data is to make you aware of career opportunities at Mercedes-Benz Group AG. In particular the application aims to provide you with individual job offers and up to date applicant information. Your data is also processed for statistical purposes.

Under no circumstances will we transmit your personal data for product advertising or for other purposes to third parties without authorization (i.e. communicated or passed on, for example).

Use of this application is voluntary and can only take place once you accept this declaration. The legal basis for processing personal data is your consent pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1 (a) GDPR.

Recipients of the data within Mercedes-Benz Group AG are only those people who and the authorities which need your personal data in order to perform our contractual and legal obligations (e.g. human resources, specialist unit, works council, severely handicapped persons’ representative).

In addition, we employ an IT service provider for troubleshooting and to enhance the service, among other things.

As a user of the Mercedes-Benz Talent Cloud, you can assert the following data protection rights: You are entitled to:

  • request information from Mercedes-Benz Group AG regarding the personal data stored about you and regarding the information detailed in Art. 15 GDPR.
  • request from Mercedes-Benz Group AG the immediate correction of personal data related to you which is incorrect and, where applicable, completion of incomplete personal data (Art.16 GDPR).
  • request from Mercedes-Benz Group AG that personal data related to you be deleted, insofar as this data is no longer required. The specific reasons are cited in detail in Art. 17 GDPR (right to deletion).
  • request from Mercedes-Benz Group AG the restriction of processing if one of the conditions set out in Art.18 GDPR is given, e.g. if the affected person has filed an objection against the processing, for the duration of the assessment by the responsible person.
  • request from Mercedes-Benz Group AG the issuance of data in a readable electronic format, which you for your part have made available electronically (Art.20 GDPR).
  • object to data processing if special reasons arise from your particular situation that obstruct the data processing. Insofar as there are no compelling interests of Mercedes-Benz Group AG worthy of protection for the data processing (e.g. exercising or defending against legal claims), Mercedes-Benz Group AG may no longer process your data (Art.21 GDPR).
  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection officer or with a data protection supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR or other laws (Art. 77 GDPR). The company limits the storage of your data to the necessary period. We therefore regularly delete your personal data as follows:

  • Your personal data is stored for a period of 12 months following successful registration. The storage period is extended to 12 months respectively when you re-confirm the data protection consent after a period of one year has expired. Your profile will be deleted if no confirmation is received. You can update or delete incorrect or outdated information at any time.
  • Following expiration of the storage period for your personal data, your profile is deactivated, anonymized and completely deleted after 21 months.

I agree to my data being processed as described above.

I am aware that I can revoke my consent at any time. Use of the system after revoking consent is no longer possible. Revocation of consent will not affect the legality of data processing undertaken on the basis of the consent granted until the revocation.
